Tale
After an embarrassing incident at their elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), which replaced Amy Adams as Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted television series and then made into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Kathryn in the 2016 NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
Cruel Intentions (1999) followed
The remake is so boring and so slow. It doesn’t even hold a candle to the original. The guy who plays Lucien doesn’t even look that attractive, he looks like a high school kid.
I’m not mad at the show, I’m just a little disappointed
I really couldn’t get past the first episode, it was so boring and the acting was pretty bad. I’m a huge fan of Cruel Intentions and I was looking forward to the remake, I was actually looking forward to the sequel with Sarah Michelle Gellar. You don’t even know who to root for because the character development is so bad.
I wouldn’t recommend watching this
This was not the remake I asked for. It’s so bad and so disappointing. It started out kind of good, but then it just went downhill for me.
