Series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and led Lionsgate to scrap the pre-planned sequel Double Cross.
Somehow, I found the series more palatable, with equally good writing and characters
I’ve read a few of the Alex Cross books and found them to be interesting, but they were too gruesome for my tastes, although I thought they were well-written with good stories and characters.
But it’s such a bleak picture
I have to turn off all the lights in my room and put the TV on bright mode (I have an LG OLED).
It’s like the people in charge of the image quality went out to lunch
The cinematography is great to a certain extent, but in terms of image brightness, it’s so far behind all the other series that it baffles me.
If they fixed that, it would be great
