A TV series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 film sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the titular character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which was a box office bomb and led Lionsgate to cancel the previously planned sequel Double Cross. I’m a fan of the Alex Cross books and I’m glad to finally see an actor who fits the bill.
Ryan Eggold didn’t disappoint and played the role blind
He played the character well with just the right amount of aggression and emotion. He’s proven how versatile he can be with Blacklist and New Amsterdam.
It was dark and often made the series difficult to watch
I would have given it a much higher score if I could actually see who was on screen at any given moment. The lighting technician laughed at the darkness, beyond the gloomy and atmospheric lighting.
I’m not the only one who feels this way
I liked the plot, but I hated the inadequate lighting needed to follow the story. I hope there is another series and they read all the reviews.
